With the cameo mark P&C for Piguet & Capt, Geneva, incuse lozenge box maker's mark S D and French guarantee marks for imported gold 1822 - 1838
Oblong, the hinged lid with finely painted allegory of Charity within border of pearls, the sides and base with guilloché blue enamel panels and engraved and enameled bands of leafy scrolls
Date: First quarter 19th century
Movement: Double sided sur plateau, playing on 18 blades each side, incuse mark P&M for Piguet & Meylan, no. 1264
