A very nice Egyptian wood ushabti, New Kingdom, 19th Dynasty, c. 1350 - 1200 BC, mummiform with long wig and arms folded at mid-section. The wig and facial details nicely highlighted in black paint. H: 7 1/2 in (19 cm). Natural age split, light deposits. Ex collection of Maj. James Findlay, Scotland, acquired in the 1950's-60's, thence by descent.
