A well-engineered 5 inch gauge live steam model of the Liverpool & Manchester Lion 0-4-2 tender locomotive, built by Mr W E Wilks of Bourton to the LBSC design with copper haystack type boiler with polished brass lagging and normal fittings including water and pressure gauges, twin Salter's type safety valves, injector, clack and blow - down valves. Chassis fittings include twin inside cylinders with valves controlled through Stephenson's gears, connecting and coupling rods, whistle, brass cab-lamp, oak buffers and beam blocks. Tender with detailed rivet work and fitted hand brake. Finished in green and black livery with simulated wooden cladding to boiler and cab floor, polished brass and brightwork. Length 92cm. Cab width 21cm.
