A white jade plaque with gilt-painted calligraphy
Of rectangular form with rounded corners, inscribed on both faces with a transcription of the Prajnaparamita Heart Sutra, the sutra title Bo re bo luo mi duo xin jing written on one narrow side and the four-characters yihai nian zhi (made during the yihai year) inscribed on the other narrow side; drilled with two holes at the top threaded with a black silk cord also passing through a coral bead.
