Carved throughout in varying degrees of relief with a storm dragon among swirling clouds, its eyes of gilt metal and the interior of red lacquer with kinji edges, signed Yamashita Tsuneyoshi tsukuru (Made by Yamashita Tsuneyoshi); with an ebony manju netsuke carved in relief with a dragon holding a tama, its eyes of gilt metal; unsigned. 9.5cm (3¾in) high.
