AA ARMS MODEL AP9 SEMI AUTO 9MM PISTOL
SERIAL NUMBER: 045667. BARREL: 5". CALIBER: 9MM. The A.A. Arms Model AP9 is an American-made, semi-automatic 9mm pistol manufactured between 1988 and 1994 by A.A. Arms and distributed by Kimel Industries. Heavily inspired by 1980s submachine gun aesthetics, the AP9 was designed as a direct competitor to the famous Intratec TEC-9, though it is widely regarded by collectors as having superior build quality, more refined machining, and better fixed iron sights. The firearm operates on a simple, straight-blowback mechanism and features a distinct "tube gun" silhouette, where a forward magazine well sits completely separate from the polymer pistol grip. Production of the handgun ultimately came to an end following the enactment of the 1994 Federal Assault Weapons Ban. Mechanically, the pistol features a matte black or nickel steel upper receiver paired with a ventilated metal barrel shroud surrounding a standard 5-inch unthreaded barrel. The lower half is constructed from a lightweight, single-piece molded polymer frame with integrated checkering to improve handling and recoil management. It utilizes a reciprocating left-side charging handle, a manual thumb safety switch, and a paddle-style magazine release situated just forward of the trigger guard. Matching factory hard case. CONDITION: Excellent. Operates normally. MODERN 27-336
