Condition Report:
The canvas has been lined and appears to be providing good support. The paint surface is thinning in areas, exposing the canvas weave. Surface dirt, scattered scuffs and stains. Abrasions are present to the extreme edges commensurate with rubbing to the frame. A scratch of approximately 1cm is present to the centre of the work. Some scattered areas of fine craquelure. Inspection under UV reveals a cloudy varnish and scattered areas of retouching throughout. The overpaint is most concentrated to the rocks, greenery and lower right corner but there is further notable strengthening to the figure, dog and horse.
