ADOLF HITLER'S ACCIDENT INSURANCE POLICY

ADOLF HITLER (1889 - 1945) Fuhrer of Germany and Nazi Party leader, Hitler's bloody rise to power, his military seizure of most of Europe and North Africa and his genocidal racial policies culminated in suicide in his Berlin bunker as Russian troops approached. Important partly-printed signed document, 4pp. large 4to., [n.p., n.d., likely Berlin, ca. 1927], an insurance policy issued to Hitler insuring him against death or disability due to accident. Hitler places his name, birth date "20/April 1889" and occupation "Schriftsteller" ("Writer") at the top of an "Insurance Card" which covers the future dictator for death or disability at varying levels. The policy, ironically issued by the likely Jewish-owned "Deutsche Verlagswerke Strauss, Vetter & Co." and underwritten by Aachen-Leipzig Bank, would pay between 2,000 RM and 6,000 RM to Hitler's estate, as he has (obviously) left empty the spaces for information about his spouse. The policy also specifically does not cover syphilis, epilepsy, delirium tremens, or fainting spell. Hitler's period signature appears beside his "Name", and is indisputably written in his hand.
