ACG's Adventures into the Unknown was the first regularly-published horror comic book (and one of the longest-running, surviving the Code and lasting until 1967). The premiere issue pre-dates EC's first ongoing horror title by over a year (although EC's first horror story, "Zombie Terror" from Moon Girl #5, was published roughly contemporaneously with Adventures into the Unknown #1 in Fall, 1948).
