After the painting by Annibale Carracci (c.1594-95) now in the Gemäldegalerie Alte Meister, Dresden (inv. Gal.-Nr. 305). A reverse etching - following the direction of Carracci's original composition - was made by Francesco Brizio around 1590-1600 (see British Museum, inv. no. 1982,U.4184).
