Praz, L'opera completa del Canova, Milan 1976, pls. 17-19The present Cupid and Psyche group is based on the celebrated original in the Louvre which is of monumental size and gave rise to many copiesCondition Report: There are marks, knocks, scratches and abrasions consistent with age and use, some scuffs and knocks to the extremities and edges.Some sections of restoration, replacement and losses including to the wings, arms, hands, ankles, feet and the base. Some of this restoration includes replacement filler and 'spraying out' to cover the areas of damage and repair.
