both inscribed: Coustou and stamped: 1715
bronze, mid-brown patina
each 39cm., 15in. high

Condition Report:
Overall the condition of the bronzes is very good, with minor dirt and wear to the surfaces consistent with age. The rein of one of the horses is lost. There is a loss to part of the rein of the other horse. There is some greening to the bronzes, in particular to the crevices of the bases and to both horses' tails and manes. The crouching figure holding reins on one of the groups is slightly loose and rocks slightly on its base.
