Abraham Grapheus, a prominent Antwerp physician and collector of art. The original painting is believed to have been created in the early 1630s and is now housed in the Royal Museum of Fine Arts in Antwerp.
The two portraits in the painting show Grapheus from different angles and in different expressions. One portrait shows him facing forward, with a serious and contemplative expression, while the other shows him in profile, with a more relaxed and contented expression.
