Pair of eight-panel byobu (folding screens), ink on paper with silk borders mounted on wood lattice and within a wood frame, depicting mountainous lakescapes with scholars seated inside an open pavilion, other figures and pagodas and buildings, in the foreground fishermen on their boats, each screen with four poems written in gold interspersed among the scenes, the right screen inscribed Sesson ga with a red seal, and Sesson hitsu with a red seal on the left screen. Overall: 152cm x 367cm (59 13/16in x 144½in); image: 138.5cm x 351cm (54½in x 132 3/16in) (2).
