AFTER WEBB 20TH C. GILDED CAMEO GLASS VASE
A rare and beautiful piece, this cameo vase mimics the look of champleve enamel with ornate lotus floral motifs of opaque white glass outlined in gold. The base glass is a rich amber with a satin finish. The all-over decoration and white to amber colorway is evocative of Thomas Webb's work, though he did not appear to gild his pieces. This vase is unmarked and was likely produced in the latter half of the 20th century. Dimensions: H 10.5" x Dia. 5.25" Condition: Minor losses to edges of white glass, minor rubbing to gilding. Wear consistent with age and use, minor losses.
