Unsigned. This work is similar to the larger Higgins work (52" X 56") at the Butler Institute of Art in Youngstown, Ohio. Canvas, stretcher and frame all appear to be original and c. 1920-1940. Frame measures H 37" x L 39".
Condition: Good; UV-tested, minor areas of inpainting notable to the upper right & upper left quadrants. Canvas having an older patch (4" X 2.75") indicating early damage and repair. Painting having craquelure and remnants of early varnish consistent with a painting executed during the previously referenced period.
