Folio, 327x223 mm, contemporary 1/4 blind-tooled pigskin over liturgical manuscript vellum boards, dated 1568 at bottom of pigskin on front cover with unidentified monogram I • F • D at top, cover corners worn; scattered mostly marginal foxing and stains, title soiled with small hole in blank upper outer corner, later underscoring and Latin and German marginalia in different hands with occasional writing in the illustrations identifying the subjects, plate facing page 100 spotted and chipped along fore edge slightly entering image of volvelle, small piece torn from blank lower margin of last leaf, free endpapers lacking.
