The Hirsch distillate was copper pot distilled in 1974 by Pennco and is believed to have yielded a 400-barrel batch.
Although many variants were released under the Hirsch label —15, 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20yr-olds—the 16yr gold foil variant was one of the final releases.
