[ translate ]

Property from the Antoinette and Patrick Murphy Collection

ALAN DAVIE
1920-2014
DOGGING AROUND

signed, titled and dated Oct 66
watercolour and acrylic on paper
56 by 76cm.; 22 by 30in.

Condition Report:
The sheet is adhered to a backing board along the edges but not fully laid down. The sheet undulates and is cockled due to the Artist's working methods and materials but appears sound. There is a small vertical tear to the extreme upper edge to the left of centre. There are small air bubbles to the thicker areas of acrylic in places, in keeping with the material. There is a finger print in the paint towards the extreme right edge. There may be a small number of instances of flecks of studio detritus and surface matter and some light surface dirt and the sheet may possibly be very slightly time stained. This excepting, the work appears to be in very good overall condition.

The work is held behind glass in a painted wooden frame with a painted wooden slip.
