10 1/4 x 8 3/8 in. (26 x 21.3cm)

Acquired directly from the above in 2016.
Collection of Bonnie O'Boyle, Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
EXHIBITED:
"Alan Magee: Songs For All Hours," Forum Galleries, New York, New York, May 12-July 1, 2016.
NOTE:
"The bones in Portent are from a small harbor seal. They were given to me by a new acquaintance who lives in Friendship, Maine. He is a creative fellow, a skilled builder, sculptor, historian- and a bone collector like I am. The arrangement of these bones was an important element in creating the painting … I was thinking about the ritual of 'throwing' or 'casting the bones' to predict future events."
