Description: 1 f. (57,5 x 74,5 cm): on vellum, in French, nicely gilt painted coat of arms (10 x 9 cm), folded, with a large pendant seal (contemp. mss annot. on back, a few spots, seal sl. broken and part. covered by paper). In good condition. - Jeronimo Andrea, married to Elisabeth Moucheron, was a wealthy merchant established in Antwerp. He claimed to have been born in Lille. He moved to Seville before returning to Rouen and then Antwerp, in the Venusstraat. He was made Lord of Pétrieu. He married his daughters to members of the local nobility. The first letters are elegantly calligraphed and enhanced in gold. The pendant seal (diam. 13,5 cm), with Albert and Isabella on the obverse and their coat of arms on the reverse, is attached with a golden lace. - Ref. De Vegiano, Nobiliaire des Pays-Bas, I:424.
