Not examined out of the frame. Original unlined condition. The surface presents well with fresh, bright colors. Artist pinholes in the upper corners and along the upper edge. Under UV: varnish fluoresces green unevenly and in a streaky manner. A very few isolated fine retouches in the background, on the inscription and on the woman's forehead. Possible reinforcement underneath the artist's proper right hand and the brush at lower left.
