Collection of Naval Covers with cachets, mostly of Destroyers, appearing to be the property of a sailor from Boston named Edward Reese from the USS Balch (which is represented by (39) covers ranging from the launch, sea trials, commissioning, first crossing of the equator, joining the Pacific Fleet as part of the 17th Division and holidays. Also included are (24) covers of 20 other destroyers; PLUS Boston Navy Yard, Honolulu, FDR birthday, shakedown cruise of the USS Yorktown, USS Panay Commemorative, others. All are tipped by the top edge of the flap, generally in very good to near mint condition. The 9" x 11" leather album is marked "Our Navy Scrap Book" with hand painted battleships.
