[ translate ]

\Artist: ALDO CESTINO
Technique: Oil on canvas\Signature: Hand signed\Dimensions: 24_34_1_cm
He was born in Genoa Pegli in 1930 where he lived until his death in 2004. He was a pupil of Piccone Federico (1882-1963) and Massiglio Ernesto (1895-1974) . He experimented with various forms of artistic expression before dedicating himself professionally to painting and graphics. After experiences as a "street painter" in Genoa and, above all, in Milan - which he liked to remember and which, in the last years of his life, he brought up with affection and regret - Cestino placed himself at the center of the Genoese art scene with regards to figurative painting, especially with reference to the market that has shown him widespread and lasting success. In 1972 he exhibited at the Tanaka Gallery in Osaka (Japan) . In 1987 he participated in the Art Expo in New York City. He exhibited in the Gloucester art community in Massachusetts and was admitted to the Salmagundi Art Show in New York City. In the same U. S. city, in 1991, he represented the Genoese painters at the "Italian Trade Center". He was a member of the Accademia Ligustica di Belle Arti. Very original painting in excellent condition.
