Paula Fleming notes in the Shindler Catalog, 2003 Plate 110 that: Kak-he-gah-sha probably traveled with the Kansa delegation of 1867...Gardner took photographs of the delegates, including the Kaw, when they visited the president on February 23 when this portrait was probably made.
Condition Report: Very good. Minor scuffing and abrasions. Lower right corner edge missing emulsion in 3 small spots.
