Tempera on paper painting by Alexandra Exter, 1882 to 1949, a Russian Avantgarde artist, influencer of the Art Deco movement, and the teacher of several School of Paris artists such as Abraham Mintchine and Isaac Frenkel Frenel. The artwork is a sketch of a theatrical costume, a woman in blue dress with an amphora. Presumably for the production of Oscar Wildes play Salome, Moscow Chamber Theatre, ca. 1917.
