Second Aldine edition, enlarged compared to that of 1543. Folio (289 x 200mm). Woodcut portrait of the author on title, Aldine device on final leaf (some waterstaining, title reinforced at inner margin, some marginal restored wormtracks sometimes touching some letters). 19th-century half calf with gilt spine over decorated boards, yellow edges (minimal rubbing to extremities).
