STILL LIFE OF FOUR TULIPS IN A WAN-LI PORCELAIN VASE

Condition Report:
The painting has been recently cleaned and restored and presents beautifully. The copper panel is flat. The flowers themselves are almost completely untouched and have survived in very good condition. The same is true of the vase, other than a small loss right of centre. The blue of vegetation of the vase has oxidised and assumed a greener appearance.
The background has suffered several losses and subsequent retouchings and restoration and these scattered losses extended into the table top, with one on the lower part of the snail. The recent restoration has however sensitively restored the painting to very close to its original appearance.
