AMERICAN AND OTHER STERLING AND 0.800 SILVER MATCH SAFES AND ARTICLES, LOT OF NINE, American sterling pieces comprising an Aesthetic Movement match safe by Whiting Mfg. Co. with engraved "WSH" initials, a match safe with repousse leaf design by LaPierre Mfg. Co., a small box by James E. Blake Co. of Attleboro, MA with engraved decoration and "EP" initials, a compact by R. & G. Co. of Attleboro, MA with a Phi Kappa Sigma fraternity emblem to exterior, and a small hand mirror by Watson Co. of Attleboro, MA with engraved "D G W" initials to back; other pieces including a Mexican sterling miniature folding frame, a probably Italian 0.800 silver lipstick compact with engraved decoration, and two English pieces featuring a glass scent/perfume bottle with sterling cap by an unidentified Chester maker, and a match safe by Henry Matthews of Birmingham having 1894 date mark and engraved "R M B" initials. Each piece marked for silver fineness, most with maker's marks. Total weight excluding hand mirror and glass bottle, but including non-silver components: 6.690 ozt. Late 19th and 20th century. Hand mirror 5 3/4" LOA.

Condition Report: Fair to very good overall condition with minor to moderate wear, surface scratches, and other imperfections including nicks, dents, bending, and/or worn spots to decoration; R. & G. Co. compact with losses to enamel accents.
