AMERICAN BUFFALO POTTERY DELDARE PILGRIM CERAMIC PITCHER AND PLATE, LOT OF TWO, comprising a pitcher depicting various images including a brooding Miles Standish, John Alden and Priscilla, and the May Flower ship along the bottom with "Pilgrim" printed on interior spout and a 8 3/8" D plate showing the bridal procession of John Alden and Priscilla. Both signed "J.[esse] Gerhardt". Pitcher with printed mark "UNDERGLAZE / BUFFALO / 1908 / WARRANTED / POTTERY" and hand-brushed "115." and plate with "MADE AT / ye / BUFFALO / POTTERY / 1909 / DELDARE WARE / UNDERGLAZE". Buffalo Pottery Company, Buffalo, New York. Circa 1908 - 1909.

Condition: Excellent condition except pitcher with some crazing and plate with a few scattered short scratches to interior.

Size: 9" H.

Provenance: From the estate of Holton Rosenquist, Bradford, IL.Catalogue Note: Jesse Gerhardt was the younger of the two Gerhardt sisters who were considered some of Buffalo Pottery's most skilled decorators.
