AMERICAN BUFFALO POTTERY EMERALD DELDARE DR. SYNTAX CERAMIC TRAY, with scene "Doctor Syntax - Rural Sports" depicting gentleman playing the fiddle with people dancing, signed "J.[esse] Gerhardt" in lower right corner, having an Art Nouveau-style border. Green printed mark "1911 / BUFFALO / POTTERY / EMERALD / DELDARE / WARE / UNDERGLAZE" with hand-brushed "#135". Buffalo Pottery Company, Buffalo, New York. Circa 1911.

Condition: Undamaged, except for a few expected short scattered scratches.

Size: 12 1/4" x 9 1/4".

Provenance: From the estate of Holton Rosenquist, Bradford, IL.Catalogue Note: Jesse Gerhardt was the younger of the two Gerhardt sisters who were some of Buffalo Pottery's most skilled decorators.
