AMERICAN BUFFALO POTTERY EMERALD DELDARE RALPH STUART DR. SYNTAX CERAMIC TRAY, with scene "Dr. Syntax Mistakes A Gentleman's House For An Inn" depicting a intoxicated man warming his feet by the fire, signed "R.[alph] Stuart" below saying, with Art Nouveau-style border. Green printed mark "1911 / BUFFALO / POTTERY / EMERALD / DELDARE / WARE / UNDERGLAZE". Buffalo Pottery Company, Buffalo, New York. Circa 1911.

Condition: Undamaged, except having some scattered scratches and a flake around stilt mark on underside, as made.

Size: 13 3/4" x 10 3/8".

Provenance: From the estate of Holton Rosenquist, Bradford, IL.Catalogue Note: Ralph Stuart was head of the Buffalo Pottery art department from 1903 to 1942.
