AMERICAN BUFFALO POTTERY PORTLAND CERAMIC VASE, having deep blue ground with white molded classical relief figures. Incised "Buffalo Pottery / Jan 5 - 1925" on underside. Buffalo Pottery Company, Buffalo, New York. Circa 1925.

Condition: Excellent undamaged condition.

Size: 7 7/8" H.

Provenance: From the estate of Holton Rosenquist, Bradford, IL.
Ex-Seymour and Violet Altman.Catalogue Note: According to Altman, assistant George H. Wood made approximately six Portland vases in 1925. In 1946, President Gould, using the original plaster cast, reproduced a limited number, but they did not compare to the excellent quality of the 1925 Wood produced vases.
