AMERICAN BUFFALO POTTERY RALPH STUART HAND-PAINTED CERAMIC PLAQUES / CHARGERS, LOT OF TWO, comprising one with quaint cottages, boat, and windmill scene and one having charming white cottage beside an arch bridge and stream, each having soft polychrome decoration with gilded rim, signed "R.[alph] Stuart." Hand-brushed "Buffalo / Pottery / 1913" on underside. Buffalo Pottery Company, Buffalo, New York. Circa 1913.

Condition: Each having moderate crazing and some losses to gilt decoration; one with moderate flake to foot ring and rim hairline on underside that does not appear to go through to exterior.

Size: 13" D.

Provenance: From the estate of Holton Rosenquist, Bradford, IL.Catalogue Note: Ralph Stuart was head of the Buffalo Pottery art department from 1903 to 1942.
