Finest Quality Sheraton Chest, first quarter 19th c., in highly figured mahogany having an overhanging top with stringing to edge, four drawers beneath, faced with bird's-eye maple panels surrounded by mahogany banding with cockbeaded edge, large brass knob pulls, the drawers flanked by turned and reeded column stiles, the lower case ending in double-beading with nicely shaped apron, raised on high ring turned legs. Attributed to the shop of John Seymour when he was working in Maine. 42" x 44" x 20 1/2". Fine condition.
