AMERICAN ROOSTER WEATHERVANE.

Late 19th-early 20th century. Full bodied copper rooster on a sphere with arrow. Later distressed paint and gilding. Bullet holes in sphere. 28"h. 24"l. including wooden base.
Condition Report: This is probably 2nd half 20th century. Sharp edges have dents and bends, sphere has bullet holes. Distressed surface has areas of shiny copper, enhanced verdigris on the edges and layers of gold leaf. Comb has traces of red paint under an applied consistent “rusty” surface.
