An antique set of four sterling silver rectangular trays. Circa 1850 to 1899. The trays have the same design with the image of a crowned lion with a sword and the inscription on the ribbon underneath Carde Bien. Each is marked Black, Starr, and Frost, Sterling, and numbered. Black, Starr, and Frost, formerly known as Marquand and Co., is an American jewelry company. Founded in 1810 the company is the oldest continuously operating jewelry firm in the United States.
