AMERICAN STERLING AND OTHER SILVER ARTICLES, LOT OF TEN, American sterling pieces comprising a pair of weighted candlesticks having candelabra attachments by Empire Silver Co., Inc. of Brooklyn, NY, a pair of short weighted candlesticks by Newburyport Silver Co. of Keene, NH, an "Old French" pair of sugar tongs by Gorham Mfg. Co. of Providence, RI with engraved "C" initials to handles, and a shell-form nut dish by Wallace Silversmiths of Wallingford, CT; other articles consisting of a Danish silver-plated small candlestick/taper stick, a serving spoon with shell bowl attached to an unmarked silver handle with engraved decoration, and two British sterling mote spoons having pierced bowl, one having a 1797 date mark and a King George III duty mark, and the other by Isle of Mull Silver Co. of Edinburgh, Scotland with 1983 date mark. Most pieces with marks, many with silver fineness marks. Total weight of the sugar tongs, shell-form nut dish, and two mote spoons: 2.005 ozt. Late 18th/19th and 20th century. Candelabra 10" HOA.
