AMERICAN WHITE'S, UTICA, NEW YORK MOLDED STONEWARE VASES, LOT OF TWO, salt-glazed, comprising one having cobalt relief decorations including cattail and butterfly on one side with reverse featuring head of a figure wearing a floral garland, and one having cobalt relief image of woman picking grapes with floral decorated fan on opposite side, each having relief pebbled background. Impressed marks "48" and "49". White's Pottery, Utica, NY. Late 19th/early 20th century.
Condition: Each having rim hairlines; smaller example with flake to underside and two minor flakes to relief decoration; larger example with flake to rim and minute flake to relief decoration. Manufacturing flaws, including glazed over moderate rim flake, as made.
Size: 8 1/2" to 10" H.
