First edition, the first binding. Two volumes, green cloth blocked in blind with an ornate scrollwork design. 8 3/4 x 5 1/2 inches (22.5 x 14.5 cm); xiv, 416 pp.; vi, 350 pp.; two folding lithographic maps (one in a pocket in the front board, as issued), two lithographic plates, all printed by Hullmandel. Some very light wear and one short separation on the cloth of the first volume, but in all a rather bright copy externally, slightly toned but clean internally.
