AMKA - Acoustic Guitar - Netherlands
Beautiful hand-built AMKA jazz guitar / archtop by violin maker and guitar pioneer Albert Veneman from the Netherlands This guitar was built around the 1940's / wartime. Of course with some signs of age, but despite the age of about 80 years in very good and incredibly beautiful condition. Easy to play, slim neck. And completely in original vintage condition. Beautiful full deep sound. Before that this was a very luxurious guitar. Extremely rare guitar. In a period of about 14 years, the total AMKA production was less than, for example, Egmond 60s (Best Nederland) realized per month. Says enough. A guitar for enthusiasts and / or collectors who are aware of the rarity and beauty of this guitar Albert Veneman, born in Enschede in 1923, ended up wandering through Haarlem and Amsterdam with his family in The Hague. Veneman built hand-built archtops in the period1938 / early 1950s via the studio in the Prinsestraat in The Hague. Brand name Amka was a composition of the names from the family (father Albert, mother Madeleine and sons Kope and Albert jr.) .
