AN 1842 MODEL PERCUSSION GUN WITH BAYONET
Round, smooth-bore, 18 mm cal. barrel, with fore-sight, clutch for a bayonet; octagonal breech with various stamps among which marks "MA", "CA" and "C", marked date "1847" and "S 29". Tang with rear sight notch and model caption. Backward spring lock, in good working order, stamped and marked "M.re de Tulle". Wooden, full stock with circular stamp on the butt side. Iron, stamped mounts. Stamped ramrod, marked "S 29", so as the butt-plate. Leather strap, more recent. Socket-bayonet, stamped and marked "S 29". Interesting.
