Round, rifled, 11 mm cal. barrel at the nozzle (visible grooves, dirt to be cleaned at the nozzle), with octagonal base, marked "MA", "C 1880", "MA", "V", "R", "P" and other marks, foldaway and adjustable rear sight, foresight and club guide for the bayonet. Reblued. Breech with remains of the marking "MANUFACTURE D'ARMES ST. ETIENNE M.LE 1874" and "M 80". Wooden stock with iron mounts. Bayonet (length 64.5 cm.) with a different serial number and provided with an iron scabbard.
