AN 1879 INFANTRY BONEHILL RIFLE TRANSFORMED WITH SYSTEM SNIDER 1866

Round, rifled, 14.7 mm cal. barrel with adjustable rear sight and fore-sight; bolt of the first model without spring and with extractor, provided with various stamps so as the barrel, test-bed stamp as well; forward spring lock marked "C. G. BONEHILL 1879", with stamp and crowned "E.I.G.". Wooden, full stock with brass mounts, iron barrel brackets and ramrod. Butt-plate marked "B.N 6 R.T 670".
