AN 18TH C. QUEEN ANNE TRIPOD OVAL TILT-TOP TABLE
The heavy, dense mahogany tilt-top tea table with tiger maple rails joining what appears to be the original block can be tilted on the turned column dovetailed to three cabriole legs with platformed pad foot and a carved decoration described in the book American Antiques From Israel Sack Collection: Volume IV as 'a ridge runs from the point of each foot along the leg surface ending in a leaf carved motif.' The decoration on this table is very similar to the illustrated example though slightly shorter in length and with less detail.
Measures 29 x 20 x 29 inches, 44 inches tall when folded.
Please be aware that this lot is too large to ship by conventional carrier such as UPS, USPS or FedEx and will instead require local pick-up, delivery by a freight carrier or delivery by a blanket-wrap shipper. The cost most likely will not be low.
Condition Report: Very good condition, noting reinforcement where the legs and column intersect.
