AN AMBER-GLAZED AND BROWN-ENAMELED 'DRAGON' BOTTLE VASE AND A 'TORTOISESHELL'-GLAZED DOUBLE-GOURD VASE, 18TH-19TH CENTURY
The first, a bottle vase, is impressed on the body with a dragon in brown enamel emerging from a mottled brown and amber glaze; the second, a small vase of double-gourd form, is covered on the exterior with a 'tortoiseshell' glaze; together with a greenish-blue and yellow-enameled box and cover with an apocryphal Jiajing mark on the base, late Qing dynasty-early 20th century.
