AN ANCIENT ETRUSCAN STYLE BRONZE FRAGMENT OF A KORE VOTIVE FIGURE, ARCHAIC PERIOD (800-479 BC), the domed hair style cascades down the neck, over open eyes, above a triangular upper torso with modest breasts, one arm bends with a hand ending on a sensuous hip, the other arm outstretched, over a tapering skirt. Height: 6" Width: 2 3/4" Depth: 3/4" Provenance: Purchased from Le Pere Associates, New York, New York circa 1985; by decent current owner Houston, Texas. Dimensions: Condition Report: The fragment of the original with various losses at arm and base, heavy surface wear, patina, likely loss of original paint, whitish color encrustation, but overall in good condition, wear commensurate with age and use.
