AN ANGLO-DUTCH OR FLEMISH BURR WALNUT, WALNUT, OAK AND EBONISED CABINET ON STANDCIRCA 1690 The doors opening to a shelf above two small drawers, the cupboard interior lined with 18th or 19th century hand printed paper206cm high, 172cm wide, 60cm deep Condition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use. Various old chips, splits and some losses - see images. Various evidence of old worm. Some old veneer repairs. Decorative hand printed stuck down paper to the interior of the cabinet is possibly 18th century. It bears the expected ageing, tears, losses and discolouration. Section of moulding to one side of the cornice is detached but present. Lockplate to the door is lacking. Hinges to doors are likely old replacements. Escutcheons are the locks to the drawers are replacements. Two keys are present and operate the locks. The escutcheons have some knocks and misshapen elements. The stand below the drawers is later than the cabinet and is of 19th century construction. Please refer to additional images for visual reference to condition. Condition Report Disclaimer
