1. "Dos Cientos." Gelatin silver print portrait signed ("Gleaton / Oscuro Luz / Artist proof") lower right and additionally inscribed in another hand ("Jose Mandragan Duenos / Tom Bradley"), 355 x 275 mm.

2. "Un hijo de le maya." Gelatin silver print, 520 x 420 mm, signed ("Antony Gleaton"), titled and dated (1994) on the verso, framed.

3. "El Amado de Afrodite." Gelatin silver print, 505 x 405 mm, signed ("Antony Gleaton"), titled and dated (1994) on the verso and additionally inscribed ("With love to Annie & Christian Anthony Gleaton"), framed.

4. "Abrazo de la Memoria / Embrace of Memory." Gelatin silver print, 345 x 345 mm, gallery label to verso, 1990, framed to 580 x 580 mm. From the series Africa's Legacy in Mexico, catalogue #107.

5. 5 photogravures, various sizes, all framed. From Land of Heart's Desire series: "La Misa" (1982); La Virgen de Olintepeque" (1988); "Viejo Hombre con el Baston" (1984); "La Misa #156A (1982); likely from Africa's Legacy in Mexico: Untitled (Cross around neck, no date).

Tony Gleaton was an African-American photographer who began his career in fashion photography at Details and elsewhere before turning his attention to fine art photography "documenting the lives of black cowboys and creating images of the African diaspora in Latin America" (NY Times obituary, August 18, 2015). An exhibition of his photographs, Africa's Legacy in Mexico, focused on forgotten coastal communities peopled by descendants of African slaves brought to the New World by the Spanish centuries earlier.
