Japan, second half of 17th century, Edo period (1615-1868)
The bulbous vessel (kendi) rising from a short foot to a long neck with an inverted rim lined with a metal cover, both sides depicting a landscape with water in the foreground and trees on cliffs in the background, held in blue and white colors.
HEIGHT 20 cm
Condition: Good condition with minor wear, manufacturing irregularities, and fine hairlines. The underside of the metal rim shows scaling.
Provenance: Slovakian private collection.
